1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern all grooming services provided by Dogs Only Grooming Pty Ltd (referred to as "Dogs Only", "we", "us", or "our"). By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

2. Booking and Appointments

2.1 Appointments can be made online, by phone or in person. We recommend booking in advance, particularly for weekends.

2.2 A booking is confirmed when you receive verbal or written confirmation from us.

2.3 We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking if, in our professional judgment, a service cannot be performed safely for the dog, staff, or other animals in our care.

3. Cancellations and No-Shows

3.1 We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer the appointment to another client.

3.2 Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee or pre-payment being required for future bookings.

3.3 If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without notice, we may not be able to complete the full service. The appointment may be shortened or rescheduled at our discretion.

4. Drop-Off and Collection

4.1 Please arrive at your confirmed appointment time. Early drop-off may not always be possible.

4.2 Dogs must be collected promptly at the agreed time. If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible on (02) 9938 6563.

4.3 We operate a cage-free environment. Dogs are in our shared grooming space throughout their appointment. Please advise us in advance of any behavioural concerns so we can manage the environment appropriately.

4.4 Dogs must be on a lead upon arrival and departure.

5. Your Dog's Health and Safety

5.1 You confirm that your dog is in good general health and fit for grooming at the time of each appointment.

5.2 You must advise us of any known health conditions, injuries, skin conditions, allergies, behavioural traits, or sensitivities before the appointment begins. This includes any history of aggression, anxiety, or aversion to grooming.

5.3 We reserve the right to stop or modify a grooming service at any time if we believe it is in the best interests of the dog, our staff, or other dogs in our care. Where possible, we will contact you before making significant changes to the planned service.

5.4 If your dog shows signs of distress, illness, or injury during grooming, we will contact you immediately. In an emergency, we will seek veterinary assistance and all associated costs will be the owner's responsibility.

5.5 Dogs must be up to date with core vaccinations and flea and tick treatment. By booking, you warrant that your dog is currently treated and you indemnify Dogs Only against any costs arising from a failure to comply.

6. Matted CoatS

6.1 Where a dog presents with significant matting, we will assess the coat on arrival and advise you of the recommended approach.

6.2 De-matting is a separate service and will be quoted before commencement. It may not always be possible to safely de-mat, in which case clipping may be recommended.

6.3 De-matting or clipping a heavily matted coat can occasionally reveal pre-existing skin conditions, sores, or irritation beneath the coat. We will advise you of any findings, but Dogs Only is not liable for conditions that existed prior to grooming.

7. Pricing and Payment

7.1 Pricing is based on breed, size, coat condition, temperament, and the services requested. Quotes given at or before booking are estimates; final pricing may vary where actual condition differs materially from what was described.

7.2 Payment is due on collection. We accept card and cash.

7.3 Prices are reviewed periodically. Current pricing is available in salon or on request.

8. Senior and At-Risk Dogs

8.1 Grooming can place additional strain on elderly or medically compromised dogs. We will take additional care with senior dogs, but by booking you acknowledge and accept the associated risks.

8.2 Where a dog has a known health condition that may be affected by grooming, we may ask for written confirmation from your vet prior to proceeding.

9. Photographs and Social Media

9.1 We may take photographs or short videos of your dog during or after grooming for use on our social media channels, website, or marketing materials.

9.2 These will not include identifying information about you as the owner.

9.3 If you prefer your dog not to be photographed, please let us know at the time of booking or drop-off.

10. Liability

10.1 Dogs Only takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every dog in our care.

10.2 To the extent permitted by law, Dogs Only is not liable for any pre-existing health conditions that are identified or aggravated during grooming.

10.3 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you may have as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website and in salon. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
